Paul McCartney goes down on one knee

Metro's front page reports today that Paul McCartney "went down on one knee" yesterday. So, someone having a laugh, or just the newspaper resorting to an unfortunate cliche?

Congratulations to the future Mr and Mrs McCartney, and I hope this doesn't mean an end to my favourite meal - Linda McCartney Pies.
