My name is Robin wood and I beleive we may have exchanged correspondance before (my lot of Windebanks coming from Surrey Elizabeth Windebank Abraham Crouch)
Do you have a coat of arms or any such thing and have you any more data since 1999?

Hi Robin,
I don't remember you.No coat of arms that I know of for Windebank's. All the info I have is here, no modern stuff though. I have put a message in our local paper for any desendants of our Windebank's, but have not seen it appear yet.

There is a coat of arms for Sir Francis Windebank.A Azure(blue) sheild with a gold chevron between three falcons, or (gold).
I have been tracing my family in the UK and Canada but I have been intrested in the windebanks going back to the 1500s. Hope this helps. ronald.windebank@ntlworld.com

There was a Windebank coat of arms but it was not hereditary. It was awarded to only one Windebank and unfortunately it died with him. The same applied with the Baronecy.
I am tracing the Windebank's of Fritham and Bramshaw but have got stuck at 1789. Richard and John.

Be aware that if you give a credit card number to Ancestry.com (even if you are registering for say one quarter's subscription)they will continue to deduct quarterly subscriptions automatically. A letter to my credit card company did not help in the short term as I hd apparantly "entered into a subscription with the merchnt when I initially provided my card number"
Recommend you not give a credit card number!
