My family come from Southampton. Henry Thomas is a family name (always called Thomas), as is George William. Sarah is a family name.
My grandfather George William Tribe was born in Gosport in 1874, his father Henry Thomas born 1839 according to the fly leaf of a family Bible I still have.

Re: Susan Sabrina Goodall
I think there may be a connection with our family, also Sarah Tribe or Bide this may be a miss interpetation of name.

There's an Annie Goodall, Servant, age 18, on the 1871 census living at Cromwell Road, West Kensington, London/Middlesex. She is living with the Smith family and she was born in Upper Wield, Hampshire. Does that help anyone?

My ancestors lived at Little Madeley and Macclesfield in UK Staffordshire. Does anyone know of them? We are connected to Wedgwoods and Charlotte M Yonge the writer.

Hi Tim,
Not sure if you are part of our "Tribe". My g/grandmother Sarah Tribe ( born 1824 Lurgashall) came from Midhurst in West Sussex and her father's name was Thomas. He was a Blacksmith. She married my g/grandfather, James Cole Clarke, in 1849 in Midhurst. The witneses were Thomas (her Father) and Martha Tribe. That is all the info I have on the Tribe's.
