Bah, was far too confident about how well things are going yesterday, I completely forgot our central heating is a mess at home. We have heat, and we have water, but we have no control about when it comes on or off, so I'm constantly in fear of humungous bills, or waking up and the water not being hot enough. I do want a clever heating system that I can somehow connect up to the internets, but I will try not to let this fascination delay me actually getting anything done... This is number one priority (getting it fixed, not getting it on the internets), and then while I'm looking for problems I realise we have no TV arial, and I need to get a man in. You may recall we had no joy with getting people round the house to fit service type things in '05, will '06 be different?
Ooh yeah, forty minute delay getting home yesterday, a broken down train in Tonbridge. Bastards.

just thought i'd wish you a happy new year. have to concur on the ipaq - took me a while to get mine sorted as windows pocket pc wifi interface is a pile of crud.
so, are PSP's really as good as everyone's been making out? and question of the day is...is it possible to *cough* watch non-sony movies on it?

yes the PSP is great, I've not tried it yet but it seems you can play movies from the memory stick (not just from the UMD's you can buy) so I would guess anything you can put on there you can play... not sure what format it needs to be in yet. You can watch movies on your IPAQ though can't you? We do, bit of bittorrent, then convert them to the right size, and we're away!
Also, happy new year to you.

oh also meant to mention, couple of things:
1. what site do you use for getting movie torrents from?
2. did you read about the add-on for firefox which will integrate bittorrent into the browser?? personally, i think at first it'll revolutionise things, but then it'll taint firefox when the music/film industry get their prehistoric claws into it...

www.torrentspy.com - there's an RSS feed from it too, though I've not used that for anything other than a live bookmark. I've had a look at www.btseasonpass.com too but not used it yet. The Firefox Bittorrent plugin does sound good, it's not open yet is it? Invite only or something. It'll just be an extension won't it, it shouldn't harm Firefox I don't think... not looked into it enough though.
del.icio.us/popular is the best place to find new things I think, though I also check out digg.com daily.
