Reposting from popex to here, as it's quite newsy:

Tickets appear to be on sale now for a couple of Darkness dates in February! They're playing Manchester MEN Arena on Saturday 18th and
Brighton Centre on Tuesday 21st... these will be the first dates in support of the new album One Way Ticket To Hell And Back. Reviews have been mixed, but I'm still waiting for a proper listen myself...

Obviously as a fan you'll want to know as soon as more tickets go on sale... If you'd like an email as soon as Darkness tickets become available click here if you're a popex member (or ooh, new try this) or join up here (it's free), pick The Darkness as your favourite band and say "I believe in a thing called email ticket updates" to the gig mail question... Then you'll receive a mail as soon as tickets go on sale! If you set your email to go right to your mobile phone, then OH MY GOD, how modern would that be?

These dates aren't on the official site yet, but you can go there for pictures of the new bass player. He's no Frankie though. Also check out their space for a listen of the new single and things.

Back to me now - configured the new hard drive yesterday, how handy am I? Fitted it all myself, I'm feelign pretty confident about tackling any job now. Hmm, apart from finishing those wardrobes. Backed up my IPOD, got all my tunes on the PC now as well as the 'pod, can't believe I've been so long without that. Can now use itunes to sync the player and start downloading crap podcasts and signing up to free content like this. Also, TORRENTS!
