Hi, I curiously googled my own name and came upon your site/blog. I also have the Baker name in my ancestry. My name is Sarah Lough, but my maiden name is Harvey. Hi, just stumbled across this website and I am now wondering, is this The Marcus Tribe who worked for Exmoor Nat. Park, if it is, Hello, its Lou here, how the hell are you!??!! I am doing fine, still with Mick, ten years now ! I am a self employed gardener, incidently looking for live in gardener work in West Sussex. Hope you and all are well, take care Lou.

Hope all goes well with you both, you've certainly made news in the papers! Did you ever see Grand Designs on TV, a woodsman in Sussex was allowed to build his timber house in the wood where he worked because he had to be in the woods 24 hours to burn charcoal for his living. Me and Mick live in Sussex now, live in gardeners at a fantastic place near Arundel, with two gorgeous cats! .Hope to hear from you soon.

helloo little lee is fine and manager of old peoples home he should be in it really !! yes we know ben law good chap! we do the charcoal thing too make furniture woodland jewellery and lots of other tomfoolery mainly to do with woody things and have a deep bed veg garden lots of herbs and flowers when the chickens dont eat it!! thanks for your support people power!!! yeeehaaa!!!!!!!!! sarah

Hi, Sarah and Marcus, it's Lou, I hope all went well with you I did try and email before but it didn't send. Mick and I have got part time work as well as work where we live now, we are the gardeners for the new kitchen garden on the Goodwood Estate in Sussex where I first began working "outdoors" 15 years ago. Its brilliant to be back there and see the people I used to do Forestry with all those years ago. I hope to hear from you both, Lou

Hi Sarah,
My "Tribe" come from Lurgashall in West Sussex, which is not far away. Can you give any more details.Most of my Clarke's come from Widley (Cosham as it is now)

I pasted that in from an email I got, maybe someone else knows more. I got an email too from an Eric Clarke in the US Air Force who has the same birthday as me, he's interested in tracing his family tree:
My name is Eric Clarke I was born 7/27/1974 in Waterbury, CT. We may be relatives my father is Clinton D Clarke born 10/18/1928. my email address is eric_clark @ comcast.net. I believe my family were descendant from the UK whom migrated to Jamaica WI in the 1900's. This side of Clarke are Irish and Scottish.
Doesn't sound like any connection to us...

Hi my name is Niki Tribe my Grandad Warwick Tribe's relatives were from Sussex, I am only in the initial stages of tracing my family tree.. but you never know!!
