Like Sherlock Holmes bumming Watson...

Been meaning to write about this for a while, but keep forgetting... VERY exciting TV news, there's to be a new adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie! Their take on Jeeves and Wooster was one of the best series ever to be on TV, we still watch the DVD's quite often even though the tales are so familiar... Hopefully this will do the same for Holmes.

IMDB has nothing, and this fan site says "unconfirmed" though this story from last year, shows it was being planned a while back... Clare SWEARS she's read somewhere that "The Sign of Four" is in post-production... Good to read on that beeb story that it's Stephen Fry who'll be playing Holmes and Hugh Laurie to be faithful sidekick Doctor Watson, and not the other way around...

I really loved J&W, and have struggled to find it on DVD - you couldn't copy it for me?

I can see Fry as the condescending Holmes, but I'd feel Laurie might be a shade flippent for the Watson character - wot wot.

I can't copy DVD's

I put links up here all the time for it I'm sure... Amazon have only just sold out, if they sold out at all... they were selling the series for 8 pounds each, or at one stage all four for 20 quid.

Try searching Amazon, or have a look in the next HMV sale...
