Fixing up the bad secondary DNS entry for popex at Network Solutions and sorting out some of the dodgy / missing access logs. Popex hasn't been reporting on refererals properly since I introduced the "unique user ID" cookie, though it's not that directly, it's because I had to update Analog to get it to understand the cookie, and so need to figure out the APACHELOGFORMAT line, as it's now a non standard log file... every so often a quote mark appears in a log file entry, like



12.248.25.15 - "12.248.25.15.1062138021185725" [29/Aug/2003:07:20:21 +0100] "GET /stuff/lyrics/9/5/6/1/3/5/ HTTP/1.1" 200 2244 "http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q="like%20whoa"+lyrics+mya" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Avant Browser [avantbrowser.com]; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)"



and that's messing things up... Apache Log Format line is



APACHELOGFORMAT (%h %l %u %t "%r" %>s %b "%f" "%B"%j)



Also getting more of Barfly sorted without the distractions of the office.



Had a BIZARRE dream where I understood how a brain worked and what made people mad, it was all about how the brain stores references to information...
