Oh yeh was v disappointed really wanted to see em, pilok of a bass player "damaged his hand". yeh rite!
"didn't sell enough tickets" kind of way... I hate Placebo...

Lookin back over the gigs that av been there though i wish i was born in late 50's or sumfin, would be a dream to av seen thin lizzy, sabbath, aswel as all the other quality bands about years ago. those two in particular though i love em now. u seen many gigs there?

Only been to one gig there, I am new to the area, that was The Darkness earlier this year, with the might Goldie Lookin' Chain in support... my girlfriend's from the area, she's seen loads there.
How'd you find this site then?
found it on google, after searhcing for tofts on there wanted find out bit more on this venue that balck sabbath played at in the late 60's. my dad informs me that it was pretty big gig place wen he was young. Is good site mate, keep up the good work!
I keep getting conflicting reports though... there was one that I think is where the police station is now, on Bouverie Road West, and then it moved to Grace Hill...
asked my dad, and he seems to think it was in the foord road area?
Yeah was pretty gd gig even if GLC did get a lot of stick, i mean i jus thought it was funny even if they were gettin a lot of abuse cos they seemed to enjoy it! weren't best gig ive seen there but was worth seein definitely. Lookin forward to motorhead in november though should be gd seein em again.
Well they must have been, that's the kind of band they are... seeing them again next Friday at London Astoria...
If you have any photos or particular remeniscences about any of those gigs, you could post them up, and if there are any in your ticket stub collection that I've missed, please try and add them... and tell other people about the site! It's quite new, I want to turn it into a bit of a resource now I am living in Folkestone.
