Something here has got to come in handy for getting into this iMac, not sure I can wait until next week, cheers Nic...
Bit sad here today, we're leaving Primrose Hill for Farringdon and everyone's wondering around doing their regular things for the last time, going to the coffee shop and checking their pigeon-holes and things.

Holding down the space-bar gets the extension manager up, but I don't have permission to remove the multi-user options. Cheers for the help Max.

You may want to try "zapping your PRAM" or doing a bios reset in pc speak
and the magic key combination is.....drum roll please
command, option,p and r simultaneously of course (you may need help from a friend)
and wait for four chimes
then it is done
or you could try
command, option, o and f this will take you into the bios basically
you get a grey screen and a prompt
you can try this set of command to zap everything
reset-nvram
set-defaults
reset-all
is this a G3 or a G4 imac btw?

Oh on your side of the world it probably still is yesterday! I tried a few of those keystroke death moves, the only one that seemed to do anything was holding down the shift key to turn off extensions. I had to power everything down at midday as then our office was packed up and moved to Farringdon... so today I have the day off while things are unpacked and set up again, and hopefully I'll find my iMac set up on my desk...
It's one like this, but it's the white one, I can't find it on www.apple-history.com...

Properly blow it up, get some dynamite, and video it too! There was a story on www.engadget.com about a company that will blow up your stuff for you and send you footage of it going boom, if you're too scared to do it yourself.
