Insane hail here right now

Apr122012

Was such a lovely sunny morning, but it's mad now, heavy hail, thunder, lightning, the works. I could have posted a lovely video if I had my lead here.

On an unrelated tip (hmm, but sort of, reminded by plugging leads in to the computer) I connected a thermometer up to the computer for the first time yesterday, via the Arduino (actually a LM35 temperature sensor. This feels like very clever stuff, I can monitor the temperature over time around the house or garden. I was wondering about putting it in the bird box in the garden, to see if the south facing position I've put it in is really hot enough to fry any baby birds... I suspect not.
