I'm writing a fictional novel and i want my character to study in Folkestone at UCF but it has to be in existence in 1985. Was it??

It's only been open the last couple of years.
Who was in Folkestone in 1985? Not me.
I don't have much info about that time, but I know Hawkwind played in town that year. But then, they played every year.

Thanks that's all i wanted to know.
And i was in Folkestone in 1985 drinking in the Jolly Frenchman, as it was then. It had great nightlife then but i haven't been there since 1986.
