Any celebrity neighbours add a little something to the area
Home
Can anyone post an update please? Pictures or details of what they have their now appreciated. Do they still have the pool table and bands? Any real ales by any chance? I doubt it. Odd sort of name, if I've got it right. Also is it only half the size now? I will have to get down to the harbour and find out...
UPDATE: I've been past it now, it looks nice but the name is The True Briton which I do not like. No idea what it's like inside yet.

I popped in recently for a drink down there with my wife and its quite nice. There are a few things that need finishing, but that's kind of expected for a refurb. They are supposedly re-opening the restaurant soon as well which I think will help change the image of the pub.
With regards to the down-sizing of the pub, its just a temporary measure. I got told that within about 3-6 months they will be opening the other half which will house live bands on a frequent basis.
p.s. they do have a few real ales)

Always seems to be someone moving to Sandgate...
There always seems to be a rumour about someone famous moving to Sandgate... Nice new house being built just by The Clarendon.
So was the True Briton called that before it was called The Harbour? That's not so bad then...

I think thats a block of flats by the Clarendon called seagull court or something,i wouldnt want to live there it seems to be made of chipboard and plastic, much like the derelict one by the flower shop in Cheriton Rd.I think the Noel Gallagher thing stems from the Manchester architect whose designed a big house somewhere down there.Riviera way maybe.Wouldnt want to be a neighbour esp if his brother visits !

I was even excited about the false rumour of Gary Glitter coming to town.
I will look on the architecture websites, to see which house you mean.
