If Port Lympne are applying for the license I don't think there will be any problem with them getting it

An anti-press release from Sellindge Music Festival! Probably best to get some bands on board and send out some info about who is playing your festival, rather than just going on about someone else's festival. Good to point this out though, Zoo8 was a disaster IN MY OPINION. And you wouldn't want to get caught out accidentally buying tickets for zoo9 would you? Here's what they have to say:
Red List Live asked me to remove all of the Sellindge Festival press release.
The official red list live site says the new festival is all about raising money for the Aspinal Foundation, no mention of it being the new name for, or organised by the same people as Zoo Thousand.

Sellindge Music Festival apologises for any misunderstanding brought forth from the publication of the article "The Secret Behind Zoo Thousand and Nine". SMF does not claim to know if Red List Live does or does not employ all of the same organisers as for the ZOO8 festival. Unfortunately, SMF cannot monitor and/or be responsible for every article of press written and published, or for the views of the writers, but sincerely apologise for any misunderstanding.

I am a local kent promoter and have been contacted by red list about what I do. I have been assured that the men responsible for the zoo festival are not involved in anyway. Now from what I gather, there is a whole team of people working down there who have done other festivals in the UK that have been a success so I can only see this as being a positive thing.
I think we as a town and as a county should support this and every event that happens in Kent. We really missout on a lot of amazing music, comedy and other entertainment and although those idiots that did that event in 2008 that is no way that we should give up on supporting anyone else that wants to provide events down here.
On another note, I guarantee you that before any event like this goes ahead, red list have to get a license. can you see shepway council giving that to the zoo8 boys. i strongly doubt it.

The issue might be getting bands to play, after what happened last year. If none of the same people are involved then I expect big bands will start to sign up, but obviously punters are going to hold off spending the money on tickets until either some big names are confirmed. Maybe people will take a chance and pay a "local festival" type price, but this year people might balk at an expensive ticket price anyway. This goes for all festivals that don't have a good solid reputation behind them.
