Punch up at the Seagull
Home
I used to work in this pub, so did some chums of mine, at least one who reads this blog. My runner up memory of this place is happy times working in the bar there (after leaving The Harbour Lights but before heading off to do the BTEC with Nixdorf), mainly the charity carnival float - the pub entered as Ghostbusters, and I painted the logo on the car. Last time Clare and I went in there someone fetched a photo album from behind the bar with photos and things.
My main abiding memory was working there on the night that Germany beat England in something or other, and it all kicked off in the bar, yes another fight. I hid in the kitchen while people smashed up the front bar.
Happy christmas and new year to everyone who ever went in the Seagull...
