Strange halo effect around the sun, did you get it here? It was mad, I have tried to photo it but couldn't get back far enough. How do you get further away from the sun?
Aha, reflected in my new shades! We really did see this in the sky though.

Didn't get any here - I've seen them before in Canada. When it's really cold the halo effect is produced by ice crystals high in the atmosphere. Not sure whether than can happen in Florida but if you go high enough I guess it's cold enough for ice crystals? They call them "snowdogs" in Canada.
