Hot weekend

Nice weekend, hot weekend, I even got sunburnt, lawks! We went to The Kent Show, and it was very nice. Lots of cool stuff there, like llamas and otters and birds and trucks and robots and Kaddy Lee-Preston and things, and I brought back some wine and spices and pickles. Very disappointed in the hot foot takeaway side of things, it was dominated by a chain of disgusting overpriced burger vans, so our lunch on the day was a let down. Still, apart from that, and a bit of losing people and frustrating hanging around, it was a great day.

Too hot to do anything else all weekend really.

Is it really going to get hotter this week? Was BOILING on leaving the house this morning, way down south where the air is cleaner and the grass is greener, but it seemed a bit cooler by the time we'd got up to London. Perhaps the smog is protecting us from the sun's rays in the early part of the day.

It's all go today

It's all go today, XFM Winter Wonderland tickets sold out before I managed to send out a spam about them, so now doing a bit of marketing of The Eagles Farewell Tour. I'd like to see them, but it's 75 quid or so for tix... did this suddenly turn into America? I am almost FEARING coming here again, how much will it be? Wishing I'd seen them at , and also not got quite so squiffy during the one time I did see them...

Doing some work on favelets / bookmarklets - little scripts that you save as bookmarks / favourites. Just got a tip from slayeroffice's mouseover DOM inspector favelet for calling favelets remotely, should have done that all along, means I can update them without needing to "reinstall" them on each computer I use... For example . Not a lot of use to you, but you can see how it includes code from my server; the itself just includes the from here. If you don't know what I'm on about here, don't fret, this is of limited appeal. Going to group all my favelets / bookmarklets together on here later, probably into whatever comes up when you search here for favelets...

More stuff: LOST podcasts, having second thoughts about Primal Scream, and a lemur named after John Cleese.

Last night I went to an GIG

A Starsailor review... Nothing to do with Tim Buckley.

Went to see Starsailor last night at the Barfly, because I have a RULE - if I hear about a new band from three different sources in quick succession, then I check them out. It is a good rule, but not as good as my new rule which is "always carry a screwdriver"; I got to the venue, went to the bog, slammed the cubicle door, and then realised there was no handle, so I couldn't get out...

The support band were Black Moses, Black Croweses more like, they were a bit honky tonk ROCK, in an old Rolling Stones sorta stylee, but so as not to wear out our ears before the main course, missed most of them...

Starsailor are an acoustic led four piece from somewhere in the North, who take their name from a Tim Buckley record. To pigeonhole them I'd say they're a bit Supergrass (but not the rocking stuff), a bit Eagles (but not at all American) and a bit Verve. You might call them Stadium Folk, but you will definitely call them something soon, every mover and shaker in London was at that gig.

More later when I know more about them - they're so hot and new, they haven't released anything yet... somebody throw me a bone here?

Also there's an xml feed of eagles, a JSON feed, and a KML feed of eagles , search my eagles venue info, eagles on Your Folkestone.

Hope you found what you're looking for, if not please leave a message about "eagles".

Add eagles as a venue here, help me out, and the next person.
