I have been in that , nice place, shame about the food, for me anyway. Had a nice grilled vege sub from on the way home, but apart from that it's not the best place for a vegan. Breakfast was fried potato and spicy tomato sauce, more than I'd eat at home, but not a lot considering the choice available to everyone else. Not many of the restaurants made any concession at all to on their menu, so no hope for me. On place that did was in the Bellagio hotel. But it was all booked up.

The fountain display outside the Bellagio was spectacular. We watched a few goes of it from across the road in a bar in Paris, and then we crossed the road to see one close up. It's all done to music, a different song each time that we saw it, the last one was a 9/11 tribute song "God Bless The USA"... it even brought a tear to my eye, somethign to do with the sheer spectacle of all the water, and the overblown sentiment of the song. Would have made me feel goddamned proud to be an American, or something.

On a more frivolous note, I touched Elvis Presley's own speedboat at the elvisarama museum drank a yard of Jack Daniel's while watching a tribute band play and , and saw , , , and , , , , , , , , , and STEVIE BLOODY WONDER...

It's a mad place, took some pictures, more soon...

Robot vs robot

So which robot is best then? This running footballer from Japan?

Or this genuinely monstrous droid that I snapped at the last year? Which one is more human like, and more importantly which one is more robot like?

Thanks to Stu for the feeble Japanese imitation, filmed at CES in Vegas, more footage here. Via shinyshiny.tv or techdigest.tv or something.

IPOD vs Cassette

Time for an injection of STUFF, been neglecting the blog slightly recently. I thought that when I got the and I'd be doing more internetting while sat in front of the TV and so on, but mostly we're using it for playing .

In the process of updating everywhere that has an office address on it. Apparently I can't get any mail that's addressed to automatically forwarded to the new address (3rd Floor, 59-61 Farringdon Road, EC1M 3JB) as they need a utility bill at the old address in that name. Doh! So got to update details with everyone who might be sending me anything important, ie a cheque.

Last night's drinks at were great, even if they were for a slightly sad occasion, a leaving do for some friends who worked here. Many pints of , one I've always avoided before for some reason, but it's great! Saw , (for the third time this week) and there, I am certainly going to miss my celeb spotting when we leave Primrose Hill.

Leaving Clare to watch the Olympics all weekend and heading off to Fareham, got a birthday present to deliver to a nephew, and a bit of hanging out away from London.

Links for the day: IPOD vs Cassette and this is not me, I swear...
