Gatwick, London Gatwick Airport, Gatwick, West Sussex, RH6 0JH.

Airports by rail, with My employer, who I work for. I am not earning a fee on this (damn).

To take advantage of the best prices you will need to prove you are a leisure traveller, on the way to the airport, so you will need to give either your flight details or yr holiday booking reference. I don't think you will need to provide this when you arrive at the station but you may be asked to give them on your journey from new-cross-gate station to the airport.

Going to gatwick airport on the train is great, you can take a nap, read (even at night), play travel scrabble, or just gaze out of the window... The other caveat to buying these inexpensive train tickets from the station to gatwick airport is that there must be at least two grown ups travelling together. But another great benefit is that children go free. All children under five go free, and then one kidover 5 but under 16 per adult travelling by train to gatwick airport.

make sure you leave enough time to get to the airport early enough to eat, shop and so on, so check the times of trains from the station before you go. If you end up with time to kill at the airport you can always read or play a game again! As you have bought your train ticket in advance, you don't need to fret about the opening times of new-cross-gate station.

the station opening hours: Monday-Friday 05:55-20:30, Saturday 06:10-20:30, Sunday 06:55-21:10..
