Blog2022 ≫ Both boys on both consoles does add to the energy usage...

Yesterday I didn't let the boys on their consoles in the morning, nor on the TV, and the energy usage was down. But then it went right up in the afternoon with two washes, two dries, and baked potatoes in the oven. Yes we did even start them in the microwave, but still over £8 energy bill for the day. Not like the day before with consoles, TV, THREE washes, two tumble dries, and TWO lots of the oven going on. T2 made some mince pies, and I can see the spike on the graph. Over a tenner, crikey we never get that.

Still at work, it's still hectic. Have I inadvertantly discovered an actual benefit to being in the office? I hope not! However, if there were five people already waiting by my desk, the sixth person would think "I'll go ask him later...". When it's all virtual no-one can see how many other people are already asking me questions right now, so more just keep piling on. I have to remember, it's good to be the person that everyone wants an answer from.

I'm listening to one of the "Now that's what I call music" compilations Clare bought me for christmas. T'Pau, Heart, and KISS, all in a row. Absolute bangers! The quality of this vinyl is not quite up there with the new ones I got though. The Suede album is awesome (and signed, and on grey vinyl).

Happy nearly-new year.
