Blog2019 ≫ Happy New Year

Good night at the Inn Doors, met up with friends, paced it just about right. Went along at 7pm and didn't leave until about 1am as they rolled out a free drink for everyone. A very enjoyable evening.

All is quiet on New Year's Day here. Well quiet-ish. Boys are playing on their tablets now, though this morning I dragged them out on their new bike and scooter. Baby steps learning to ride the new bigger bike without stabilisers, but he had fun so will be keen to go out again.

I have my new home automation scheduling of events running with the new

(/wiki/#code) now, still needs some tweaking though. I am a tweaker though, it will never be finished. For extra credit today I used [If This Then That](/wiki/#ifttt) to get my [Google](/wiki/#google) Home talking to the new version of my LightwaveRF API1 so now we too have voice control of our lights. Yes, like everyone else had in [2017](/wiki/#2017),, but this is [running](/wiki/#running) my own software.
Happy [New Year](/wiki/#new/year), hope it is starting better for you than for my Nan who has had another fall and is back in [hospital](/wiki/#hospital) again. Get well soon Nan!
