The Sandgate Hotel sold again

FG ≫ 2008 ≫ The Sandgate Hotel sold again

The Herald reports that it's been sold again, they're guessing for 900k this time, wonder if the new owners will be able to make a go of it. I hope so, it's a nice place. It's not Gordon Ramsay who's bought it, hope the new owners don't have another kitchen nightmare.

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years before that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events + voting for favourite venues and things, and I hear it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
